The Rams Boys Varsity Volleyball Team Win Against Farmington In The CIAC Class M State Tournament Semi-Finals.
CHS BOYS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL TEAM WON AGAINST FARMINGTON HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE CIAC CLASS M STATE TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINALS ON TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2023 IN HARTFORD
The Cheshire High School Boys Varsity Volleyball Team have met their ultimate goal of being in the 2023 CIAC State Boys Volleyball Tournament on Friday, June 9, 2023.
To do this they had to first defeat Farmington High School on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the Sport and Medical Sciences Academy for the CIAC Class M State Tournament Semi-Finals. And they did.

Both teams played five matches and the Rams won three and the River Hawks won two. The team that reaches 25 first wins. The River Hawks won the first match with a score of 25 and the Rams 23. CHS rebounded in the next two games and won in the second match with a score 25-23. The 3rd match the score was CHS 25 and FHS 19. The fourth match Farmington won with a score of 25 to Cheshire 16. The fifth match the Rams won with a score of 15 to the River Hawks 12.
The next game will be the CIAC State Boys Volleyball Tournament also at Sport and Medical Sciences Academy in Hartford. Game Time 6 p.m.

Will the Rams continue their winning streak and win the state championship? They will face off against Masuk High School of Monroe. Masuk's overall season record is 17 wins and 3 losses. Cheshire’s regular season record is 16 wins and 4 losses. Plus, the Rams won the 2023 SCC Championship against Shelton on May 26, 2023. Junior Will Allen was selected as one of 15 Connecticut high school volleyball student athletes to watch this season according to CT Insider.com. Plus, they have Matt Irizarry, Connor Hayes, Jason Cafourek, Matti Lilback and many other valuable players who know how to score.
