Obituary: Susan "Sue" Brown Fitzgerald, 80, of Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) Susan “Sue” Brown Fitzgerald of Cheshire passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, with her family at her side.

Sue was the cherished and beloved wife of the late Edward Browne Fitzgerald. She was born in New Haven, CT to Kathryn (MacClemmy) and Robert Brown. She was 80 years old.

Sue’s greatest joys came in spending time with her family. She was a proud, devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Karen Fitzgerald Kipfer (David) of Cheshire and Edward Browne FitzGerald, Jr. (Emily) of Wilmington, VT; her grandchildren, Kendall Kipfer of Cheshire and Ryan Kipfer of Denver, CO and her great-granddaughter, Audrey Rose Githmark of Cheshire, all of whom adored her.

She was pre-deceased by her son Robert Edward Fitzgerald.

Sue was always up for an adventure and enjoyed both the fine and simple things in life – time spent with friends, a drive to the shore, entertaining, traveling with family, dining out and doing the daily crossword puzzle.

Sue and her husband, Ed, made the Fitzgerald home a place where everyone gathered, was welcomed and felt as though they were part of the family.

She will be fondly and forever remembered by her family and friends for the good times and many laughs they shared together.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 20,2022 at 12:00 (Noon) in St, Bridget Church, 171 Main St., Cheshire.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamden.
