Tornado Confirmed In Cheshire: Town Manager
The weather service confirmed a tornado touched down in Cheshire on Saturday, according to Town Manager Sean Kimball.

CHESHIRE, CT — The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down in Cheshire on Saturday afternoon, according to Town Manager Sean Kimball.
Kimball said that town officials took a National Weather Service official on a damage tour of Cheshire on Sunday afternoon.
“They’ve confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down at 3:30pm yesterday near Higgins/Mountain Rd and proceeded NE through the center of town ending near Country Club Rd.,” Kimball wrote in a post on Twitter.

Kimball also shared video of the tornado’s winds knocking down the scoreboard at the Cheshire High School football field.
“Despite significant damage we’re grateful for no apparent injuries in town,” Kimball wrote.
