Wounded Cheshire Soldier Returns to Medical Center
Pfc. Josh Budd ends his month-long holiday visit today.

Pfc. Josh Budd returns to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Maryland tonight after a month-long holiday visit in Cheshire.
His mother, Barbara Budd, writes that she is traveling with her oldest son and will stay at the center with him while he awaits more surgery.
The surgery on his left leg has not been scheduled, his mother wrote in her online journal.

Budd was wounded in July in Afghanistan while on patrol when an IED exploded. He lost his left leg and had severe injuries to his right leg and internal organs. He has been fitted with an artificial leg and continues to recuperate at the medical center in Maryland.
Budd was a junior firefighter with the Cheshire Fire Department and his father, David, is a lifetime member of the volunteer organization.
