Bethel Police: Alcohol by a Minor, Failure to Appear

The following information was provided by the Bethel Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

 

Bethel Police stopped Marcelo Delima, 19, of James St., Danbury, at about 1:26 a.m. Wednesday for a traffic stop, when they realized Delima was wanted for first-degree failure to appear on Bethel charges, and second-degree failure to appear on Ridgefield charges.

Delima was held on a $20,000 bond on the Bethel charge and $10,000 on the Ridgefield charge. He was arraigned in Danbury Superior court Wednesday.

In a separate case, Matthew Rogers, 20, of Hospital Avenue, Danbury, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and failure to have tail lamps. Rogers was stopped by Bethel Police at about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday.
