Charles J. Simon, 92, of Danbury, husband of the late Amelia Najam Simon, died Feb. 5, 2011 at Danbury Hospital.
Mr. Simon was born in Methuen, MA, Oct. 2, 1918, a son of the late Joseph and Leva Corey Simon.
A resident of Danbury since 1929 coming from Lawrence, MA, he attended local schools and graduated from Danbury High School.

Mr. Simon was a World War
Two Army veteran.

In his early years, Mr. Simon was a hatter and later he worked and retired from the Viking Wire Co. of Danbury.
Mr. Simon was an avid fisherman. Mr. Simon was a member of the American Legion of Danbury, the Lebanon-American Club and of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church.
Mr. Simon is survived by a son, Fred Simon, a daughter, Deborah Simon, a sister, Helen Corona, all of Danbury, and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Simon was predeceased by a son, Joseph Simon; a sister, Louise Felicissimo and four brothers, Fred Simon, Edward Simon, Butch Simon and Samuel Simon.
The Liturgy of the Resurrection will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 17 Granville Ave., Danbury with Fr. Jean Younes officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
Friends will be received at St. Anthony Church on Wednesday after 10 a.m.
The Jowdy-Kane Funeral home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
