Danbury Police Log: Fugitive, DUI, Narcotics

Danbury Police returned a man from Texas on a robbery charge.

Danbury police flew to Houston to retrieve Diego Cardanas, 21, on a felony failure to appear charge, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, and sixth-degree larceny.

Danbury police said Cardanas was being held in Houston in a detainer from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Department of Homeland Security, and he was brought back to Danbury on an ICE detainer to face these charges.

Cardanas was held on a $100,000 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court Monday.

Danbury police said Jesus Caicedo, 23, of Mill Ridge Road, Danbury, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct, interfering with a police officer and breach of peace following an incident at about 2 a.m.

Caicedo was released on a $1,000 bond for a Danbury Superior Court date on Feb. 25.

 

Danbury police said Devan Caslzy, 20, Spring Street, Danbury, was charged with possession of narcotics within 1,50 feet of a school, and possession of narcotics in an incident Saturday at about 1:30 p.m.

Police said Caslzy was held on a $2,000 bond for court Monday.

 

Danbury police charged Fredrick Horton, 37, Wisconier Road, Brookfield, with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license Friday at about 1:24 p.m.

Police said Horton was released on a $1,000 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court Feb. 24.
