Danbury Police Log: Weapon in a Car
Danbury police investigate a car and find marijuana and a pistol.

Danbury police investigated a car in Rogers Park Monday at 8 p.m. that led to the arrests of three men on numerous charges.
Police said the registration for the car was improper, and upon stopping the car, police noticed an odor of marijuana. Inside the car, police found a handgun, marijuana and a large sum of cash.
Police charged Siral Lopez, 20, of Harlem Avenue, Bridgeport, with having a weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, failure to display front plate, misuse of a registration plate, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license and insufficient insurance. Lopez was held on a $50,000 bond.

The gun was a .32 caliber Colt that was loaded with a round in the chamber.
Police charged a second and third person in the car, Kenneth Ebanks, 20, of Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, and Edward Giusti, Noble Avenue, Bridgeport, with weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school. Both were held on a $25,000 bond.
