Danbury Police: Richter Park Assault

The Danbury Police provided the following information. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

Danbury Police said Joseph Mooney, 48, 99 Boulevard Drive, Danbury, was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace following an incident at Richter Park Saturday just before 5 p.m.

"He assaulted one of the rangers at the park," said Danbury Police Spokesman Thomas Michael. Mooney was released on a $10,000 bond.
