Driver Trapped in I-84 Rollover in Danbury

The crash closed two lanes of the highway for 40 minutes, according to Danbury firefighters.

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters extricated a driver trapped inside his car Monday morning on I-84, according to a release from Assistant Danbury Fire Chief Mark Omasta. The crash closed two lanes of the highway for around 40 minutes.

Omasta stated that firefighters reported on scene at 10:38 a.m. near exit 4 to find the driver trapped in his Oldsmobile that had rolled over on its side. The man was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and State Police assisted with traffic control, according to Omasta.
