Public Hearing for Danbury Innovation Places Grant
There are more than 160 cities in CT, but Danbury was one of only 12 cities to win a planning grant and be eligible to compete for a share.

From the City of Danbury: There will be a public hearing on Tuesday, March 21st at 7:30pm at WCSU Midtown Campus Warner Hall Room 102. Parking is available at the 5th Avenue Garage.
Last year CT Next announced SB502 Innovation Places Grant, a competition for cities around the state to receive funding to help attract talent and companies to Connecticut.
There are more than 160 cities in Connecticut, but Danbury was one of only twelve cities to win a planning grant and be eligible to compete for a share of $5 million per year over five years.
The group working on the grant consists of representatives from the City of Danbury, Western Connecticut State University, CityCenter Danbury, the Danbury Hackerspace, Western CT Health Network, local entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.
