U.S. Marine Robert Allen Blanchette, of Danbury, Passed Away Peacefully

DANBURY, CT — Robert Allen Blanchette passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, August3, 2016 at his home in Danbury, CT.Robert was born in Eagle Lake, Maine on July 11, 1941 to Patrick Blanchette and Regina Roy. At age 17 he joined the Marines were he served our country for four years and was honorably discharged. He worked for the Ironworkers Union Local 424 for many years. He is survived by his step mother, Rolande Blanchette, and his loving family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury, with the Rev. David Franklin, Parochial Vicar, officiating. A Military Burial will be held in Augusta, Maine at a later date.
