ID Of 20-Year-Old Killed In Crash Released: East Haven Police
A vehicle struck a utility pole and the driver was killed, according to police.

UPDATE: The sole occupant in the fatal single car accident that took place on Foxon Road on early Saturday has been identified as Nathan Santos, 20, of Madison, police said.
"We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Nathan’s family and friends during this difficult time," East Haven police said.

ORIGINAL STORY: EAST HAVEN, CT — A 20-year-old Madison resident was killed in a one-vehicle accident early Saturday in East Haven, police said.
The accident occurred near 134 Foxon Road at 1:33 a.m.

"Upon arrival, it was determined that a vehicle was traveling west on Foxon Road in the area of Circle Drive when it crossed over the double yellow lines and struck a utility pole on the south side of Foxon Road," police said in a news release.
"The vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane," police said. "The operator was given medical attention on scene by East Haven Fire Department personnel and was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The operator is a 20-year-old male from Madison."
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
