Serious Motorcycle, Car Crash Investigated: East Haven Police

The motorcyclist had a significant leg injury, police said.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating a serious accident involving a motorcycle and a car that occurred at 7:15 p.m. Friday in the area of Foxon Hill and Zolan Drive.

Police said they determined that a male motorcycle operator, who was traveling eastbound on Foxon Hill Road, was ejected from his motorcycle after making contact in the west bound lane with a car who was traveling westbound on Foxon Hill Road.

The unidentified operator had a significant leg injury, which responding officers applied a tourniquet to, police said.

The male operator was treated by East Haven Fire Department personnel before being transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital. His current condition is unknown at this time.

Foxon Hill Road has been reopened.

This accident remains under investigation. "We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this accident to contact the East Haven Police Department," Police Lt. Joseph M. Murgo said.
