The Enchanted Castle Returns To Fairfield This Month
The popular event, at Fairfield's Burr Homestead, is hosted by the Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County will host its annual “Enchanted Castle” event this month at the Burr Homestead, offering families a walk-through experience featuring live storybook scenes.
The event, which began on Wednesday, runs from Oct. 22 through 24, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Oct. 25 through 26, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The castle will be closed for one hour on Saturday and Sunday between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, with free admission for children age 2 and under.
During the event, visitors travel through six themed rooms inspired by Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, and The Wizard of Oz. The experience is designed for children ages 2 to 10.

The School of Rock Fairfield House Band is scheduled to perform on Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Junior League’s literacy and neighborhood initiatives in the greater Bridgeport area. Tickets and additional information are available at EnchantedCastle.org.
The Enchanted Castle began in 1991 under the Ahlbin Auxiliary of Bridgeport Hospital and was operated by the group for 22 years before the Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County took over in 2019. This year marks the fifth time the Junior League has hosted the event.
Those unable to attend can support the organization through “Enchanted Dining” fundraisers at local restaurants. Haven Hot Chicken, 907 Post Road in Fairfield, will donate 15 percent of sales on Wednesday, Oct. 22, and Sunday, Oct. 26, for orders placed using code FJL15 or by mentioning the Junior League.
D.P. Dough, 222 Post Road in Fairfield, will contribute 10 percent of sales from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, when customers mention the Junior League.
