Fairfield Ludlowe Falls To Cheshire In CIAC Class L Football Quarterfinals

The contest reportedly featured late-game heroics by the Cheshire Rams.

FAIRFIELD, CT — It came down to the wire Wednesday night, but the Cheshire High School Rams defeated the Fairfield Ludlowe High School Falcons 32-29 in the CIAC Class L Football quarterfinals, CT Insider's GameTimeCT reported.

Cheshire's Liam Suomala reportedly scored with 10 seconds left on a pass from Aiden Gregorich to grab the victory.

Ludlowe opened up a 19-point lead at the half, 29-10, but Cheshire was able to storm back with 22 unanswered points.

Next up for the Rams is a Monday tilt in the semifinals against the Ridgefield High School Tigers.
