LTE: A Strong Leader for Fairfield: Christine Vitale Shows Up When It Counts

As neighbors of the Gerber family, we saw up close the heartbreak of Bill's illness and passing -- and the extraordinary strength his wife Jessica and children John and Gillian showed during those impossible weeks. What many people may not have seen is how steadily and compassionately Christine Vitale showed up for them during that time. We didn't know Christine well then, but her actions spoke volumes. She supported her friend and his family with real humanity, and at the same time stepped into leadership with a level of steadiness and integrity that made a huge difference when Fairfield was facing an unexpected crisis.

Our support for Christine comes from witnessing, through Bill's family, the kind of person she is when it truly matters. She leads with responsibility, strength, and heart -- not for recognition, but because it's the right thing to do.

We're proud to vote for Christine Vitale on February 3.
