Fairfield Warns Residents Of Upcoming Heatwave

The following announcement is from the Fairfield Fire Department:

FAIRFIELD, CT — The National Weather Service on Tuesday issued a hazardous weather outlook for southern Connecticut in advance of an upcoming heat wave.

"High temperatures will reach into the 90s on Thursday, and may approach 100 on Friday. There is a chance that the heat index may reach 105 on Friday," the National Weather Service said.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, take frequent breaks when working outside, check on vulnerable neighbors and never leave children or pets unattended in vehicles.
