Fallen Trees Block Fairfield Roads During Tropical Storm Henri
While Tropical Storm Henri's impact in Fairfield was less than expected, several trees were downed and roads were blocked, police said.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Tropical Storm Henri blew through Connecticut on Sunday, and while its impact in Fairfield was less than expected, several trees were downed and roads were blocked during the storm.
Below are incident reports provided by Fairfield police from calls the department received during Henri:
7:48 a.m., 800 block of Hoydens Hill Road: Tree and wires down, large tree blocking road and leaning on wires, road impassable, public works responded.
9:49 a.m., 100 block of Salt Meadow Road: Tree down in road, no wires involved, tree warden responded.

10:08 a.m., South Benson Road and Benson Place: Wire down between utility poles, power out in area, UI notified.
10:18 a.m., Mill Hill Road: Tree down blocking two lanes, road cleared by police.
