Girl, 16, Injured In Electric Scooter Crash In Fairfield: Report

The Monday afternoon crash occurred at the intersection of Tunxis Hill Cutoff and Knapps Highway​​, according to authorities.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 16-year-old girl was injured Monday when the electric scooter she was operating was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Tunxis Hill Cutoff and Knapps Highway in Fairfield, the Connecticut Post reported.

The teen was treated at an area hospital following the 5:40 p.m., and she has since been released.

Both the teen and the driver of the car were issued verbal warnings following the crash; the teen for improper use of a highway, and the driver for operating a vehicle with a partially obstructed view (jewelry hanging from the rearview mirror).
