Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued, Numerous Traffic Delays In Fairfield County
As strong storms move in, there are numerous delays on I-95 and the Merritt Parkway Thursday morning. Here are the new updates.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Fairfield County, saying "a strong cold front moving through the area today will bring showers and thunderstorms to the area."
"An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm is possible, with the main threat being strong to damaging winds," the weather service said.

Coastal sections of Fairfield County:
Today: Showers and thunderstorms likely before noon, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between noon and 3pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Temperature rising to near 72 by noon, then falling to around 64 during the remainder of the day. Southwest wind 8 to 14 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Inland sections of Fairfield County:
Today: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11am, then showers likely between 11am and 2pm. Steady temperature around 66. South wind 6 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
