Sustainable Fairfield Task Force is hosting the free online event.

Information from Sustainable Fairfield Task Force:
FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield residents can learn more about the benefits of having a battery back-up system to power their homes with clean solar energy by attending a free webinar conducted by the Connecticut Green Bank on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
The webinar is part of the Sustainable Fairfield Task Force’s “PowerSmart” program, designed to educate homeowners about the available opportunities and financial incentives to own a home battery system paired with a new or existing residential solar array to provide clean power at night and especially during a power outage. The campaign is supported by the national non-profit organization SmartPower and is locally known as PowerSmart Fairfield.

Connecticut’s residents are finding that acquiring a battery system paired with existing or new
solar panels may be more affordable than anywhere else in the country.
“Battery storage systems can provide clean, quiet energy security for your home,” said Bob Wall, SFTF chairman. “The more we know about energy storage, the more sense it makes for greater grid resilience and pollution reduction.”
