We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share their amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

FAIRFIELD, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Eric Tornay, who nominated his brother-in-law, Russell Edgett, of Fairfield.

Reason for recognition: Since the shutdown in March, Mr. Edgett has gone out daily to check in with homeless veterans in the area. He and his wife bring the veterans food and necessities and engage them in conversation, assessing them for any increases in anxiety or depression.
One thing to know: Mr. Edgett and his wife have used their own meager funds to provide
food and necessities to these veterans
Thank you for all you do, Russell!
