Obituary: David E. LaRosa, 76, Of Fairfield

David E. LaRosa, age 76, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Patricia A. Denhup, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Waterbury, the son of the late Edward and Josephine LaRosa, he had been a Fairfield resident since 1987.

David graduated from Wilby High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University. He enjoyed a long career as a Wage Enforcement Agent for the Connecticut Department of Labor, retiring in 2019. David was an avid golfer and always looked forward to golf trips with his buddies. He loved to travel with Patricia, most recently to Italy where he enjoyed the cuisine and culture.

In addition to his loving wife, David will be sadly missed by his daughter, Amy LaRosa Peters and her husband Timothy and their two children, Max and Aria of Portland, OR; his brother, Mark LaRosa of Waterbury and a brother-in-law, Paul Denhup and his wife Sam of Stratford.

He was predeceased by his son, Jason LaRosa.

Friends may greet the family Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will be held privately.
