Santa Claus Visits Fairfield This Month

The Fairfield tradition, hosted by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, continues.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Santa Claus is scheduled to return to Fairfield on Nov. 30 for the town’s annual holiday visit, the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce announced.

Santa is expected to arrive by hook-and-ladder fire truck down Reef Road at 10 a.m., where he will be greeted by First Selectwoman Christine Vitale. He will meet children in the decorated gazebo on Sherman Green until about 2 p.m. Chamber officials said each child will receive a small plush holiday toy from Santa’s elves.

TVEyes, AMR, AFC Urgent Care, GoNetSpeed, Massage Envy, Children’s Art Classes, Hartford HealthCare, Cambridge Trust, Yale New Haven Health, Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, Ludlowe Center for Health & Rehabilitation, Bigelow Tea, Westy Self-Storage, SHU Community Theatre, Fairfield University, Two Men & a Truck, and title sponsor The Learning Experience.

Horse and wagon rides from Allegra Farms will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets cost $5 per person. DJ Scott Nickel will play classical and traditional holiday music throughout the event.

Local nonprofit organizations affiliated with the Chamber have been invited to set up informational tables on the Green. A Girl Scouts troop will offer holiday face painting.

Vendors at the holiday market are expected to include BE Chocolat Atelier, Fairfield Historic Keepsake Pewter Ornaments, Geremia Gardens, OHSELLA, Bailey Jaymes Boutique, Bricks & Minifigs, Read, Play, Love, PEHT Shop and others.

The Chamber said the event will be held rain or shine, but will be canceled in the event of heavy snow or rain that could pose safety risks, particularly for the horse and wagon rides.
