Snow Accumulation Estimates Released For Fairfield County

COASTAL SECTIONS OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for coastal sections of Fairfield County for the chance of some light snow accumulation late Friday and early Saturday.

"Snow accumulations of an inch or two could cause slippery conditions late tonight into Saturday morning," the weather service said in a brief statement issued on Friday afternoon.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 43. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Breezy, with a northwest wind 18 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph.

Tonight: A chance of snow between 1am and 4am, then a chance of light snow after 4am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 24. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday: A chance of light snow before noon, then a slight chance of snow showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 22. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 37. Southwest wind 9 to 18 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 28.
