Farmington Assisted Living Facility To Host Dementia Support Group

The assisted living/memory care facility will offer a free support group for caregivers of those with Alzheimer's/dementia on Feb. 20.

FARMINGTON, CT — A local assisted living facility is hosting a special support group for caregivers of loved ones afflicted with Alzheimer's and/or dementia.

"Hearts, Hugs & Hope: An Alzheimer’s Support Group" is offered by Farmington Station on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m.

The Farmington Station Assisted Living and Memory Care Community is located at 111 Scott Swamp Road, Farmington.

"Dealing with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia isn't easy, so it is helpful to share your concerns and personal experiences with others who completely understand what you're going through," wrote Farmington Station in an announcement.

Participants will also learn about proven strategies to help you better care for family members and/or loved ones.

This group is being offered both in person and via Zoom on the third Thursday of each month.
