Farmington's Cohn To Coach At Maccabiah Games In Israel.
A Farmington resident will be coaching at the third-largest international multi-sport event in the world.

FARMINGTON, CT — Jonathan Cohn of Farmington has been named head coach of the Team USA U16 Boys Soccer Team at the Maccabiah Games in Israel.
The games are scheduled for July 2022. The Maccabiah Games, also known as the Jewish Olympics, make up the third-largest international multi-sport event in the world.
Cohn has participated in the Games twice before — in 2018 as part of the Youth Games in Israel and in 2019 as part of the Pan American Maccabi Games held in Mexico City.

Cohn is a member of the United Coaches Association and the Connecticut Olympic Development Program, where he served as head coach for 14 years. He was also an FSA FC Premier Coach for 15 years and a High School Head Coach for 13 years.
Cohn is part of the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Soccer Committee and a past-president of the Connecticut Girls High School Coaches Association.

Cohn said his goals for the 2022 Maccabiah Games include are "represent Team USA well, to help ensure a great experience for the team, and to do my best to win gold."
He added, "Representing both our country and our faith is why Maccabiah is so important to me."
