FARMINGTON, CT — Soon-to-be Farmington High School graduates are being invited by local Democrats to apply for a scholarship that could help them toward a career in public service.
The Farmington Democratic Town Committee said this week it is offering up to two annual scholarships — $1,000 each — for qualifying FHS students who will be graduating in 2023 and enrolled in a school of higher education in the fall semester of 2023.
"This scholarship is designed for any member of the graduating class of Farmington High School who wishes to pursue their education in the field of government or community service," wrote the committee.
