Learn To Better Care For Loved Ones At Farmington Program

Farmington Station is hosting a support group on Thursday, June 19, for caregivers taking care of loved ones with dementia and Alzheimer's.

FARMINGTON, CT — A special support group for those caring for loved ones with dementia-related issues will take place later this week at a Farmington assisted living facility.

"Hearts, Hugs & Hope: An Alzheimer’s Support Group" will be offered by Farmington Station on Thursday, June 19, at 6 p.m. at the Farmington Station Assisted Living and Memory Care Community.111 Scott Swamp Road, Farmington.

"Dealing with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia isn't easy, so it is helpful to share your concerns and personal experiences with others who completely understand what you're going through," wrote Farmington Station in a release.

Participants will learn about proven strategies to help better care for a family member.

Groups are held on the third Thursday of each month, both in person and via Zoom.
