Lots Of New Stuff At Farmington's Town Golf Course

The Town of Farmington Tuesday, April 1, announced that Westwoods Golf Course is officially open for the season.

FARMINGTON, CT — The news out of Farmington Tuesday is not an April Fool's Joke for local golfers.

That's because the town-owned Westwoods Golf Course is officially open for the season, according to the Town of Farmington.

Westwoods, located at 14 Westwoods Drive, is owned by taxpayers, and it is accessible to all.

"Time to dust off those clubs, soak up the fresh spring air, and enjoy a round on our beautiful course," wrote the town on Tuesday.

This year, the golf course clubhouse will feature "Carol's Lunchbox," which serves food and drink on site.

Also new to the golf course is Steve Shelley, the new golf pro at the course who "is dedicated to helping golfers of all skill levels improve their game and enjoy every round."
