Raptors To Swoop In At Farmington Library Wednesday
The Farmington Library's main site on Monteith Drive is hosting a program on birds of prey, with live birds part of the event.
FARMINGTON, CT — A local library is hosting a unique outdoor program Wednesday evening that promises to thrill, astound ... and educate.
The Farmington Libraries' main Farmington Library, 1 Monteith Drive, is hosting Killingworth-based "A Place Called Hope,"which is an ornithological raptor rehabilitation center.
The program, called "LIVE Birds of Prey,"will feature live raptors who will spread their wings for guests eager to learn a thing or two about these majestic animals. It is part of the library's regular "Wildlife Wednesdays" series this summer.

It will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the main library site.
The program will feature experts from the rehab center, who will have four live birds on display for folks to see.

"Audiences get to see two daytime hunters and two nighttime hunters," wrote the library in an announcement. "Learn each bird's story of survival and ways to lessen conflicts with the wildlife in your very own backyard."
Since the event is outside on the library grounds, guests are invited to bring their seating.
Registration for the event will continue right up until the start time.
