Senior Citizen Stress Topic Of Free Farmington Program

The event, called '10 Tips to Manage Stress,' will take place at the Farmington Senior Center on Monday, March 31.

FARMINGTON, CT — Getting old can prove to be quite stressful, even if the days are no longer dominated by the workplace or raising young children.

That's because new types of stress afflict the elderly, and a special program in Farmington on Monday will look at ways stress impacts older folks and what they can do to deal with it.

The Farmington Senior Center, 321 New Britain Ave., Unionville, is hosting stress expert Dr. Wendy Hurwitz for a program called "10 Tips to Manage Stress."
