Body Found In Connecticut River ID'd As Missing Glastonbury Woman
Authorities have identified the person located dead in the Connecticut River Sunday.

GLASTONBURY/RICKY HILL, CT — The human remains discovered Sunday along the banks of the Connecticut River in Rocky Hill have been positively identified as a missing woman from Glastonbury.
The two towns are located across the river from each other.
Glastonbury police said Wednesday the person located at the river was 72-year-old Glastonbury resident Mary Colasanto, who had been reported missing.

The recovery effort involved personnel from the Glastonbury Police Department, Rocky Hill Police Department, Glastonbury Volunteer Fire Department, Rocky Hill Fire Department, as well as dive teams from the Portland and Middletown Fire Departments.
No further details are being released at this time, Glastonbury police said.

Colasanto was found in the Connecticut River just before 9 a.m. Sunday, after police received a report from a boater on the Connecticut River about a body in the water near the shoreline, south of Ferry Park.
Upon arrival, responding officers and emergency personnel confirmed the presence of a body in the water, police said.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was notified and responded to assist with the investigation.
