Glastonbury High School Teen Bowler Wins Spot To Compete in National Championship Tournament (patch.com) — Glastonbury residents can cheer on high school junior bowler Matthew Seagull, who has earned a coveted spot in the 2026 USBC Junior Gold Championships after just one year in the sport. The Glastonbury High School standout, already among the top youth averages in his league, will join fellow junior Brady Reitz at the national tournament in Minneapolis next summer.

Glastonbury police seek help finding man missing since late November (wfsb.com) — Glastonbury police are asking residents to help locate Christopher Scheu, who was last seen in town on November 28 and has now been missing for about three weeks. Officers have shared what he was wearing and are urging anyone with information to call Officer Longo or Lt. Kevin Szydlo so they can follow up quickly.

Glastonbury seeks safeguards as state reviews solar project proposal in Portland (middletownpress.com) — Glastonbury officials are pressing the state for safeguards as a 4‑megawatt solar project is proposed just over the Portland line, near Nayaug Elementary School and South Glastonbury neighborhoods. Town leaders support renewable energy but want protections from construction noise, nighttime operations, glare into classrooms, and a strong decommissioning bond before the Siting Council rules by April 25.
   

4. Three arrested after stolen vehicle detected by license plate reader in Newington (wfsb.com) — A Glastonbury resident is among three people arrested after Newington police used a license plate reader to locate a reported stolen vehicle in a Stop & Shop parking lot. Officers recovered a fake firearm, a knife, and narcotics, and all three suspects face multiple charges and court appearances following the Thursday morning incident.
