Boys Volleyball State Tournaments Set To Open Wednesday

CONNECTICUT — Pairings for the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) boys volleyball tournaments were announced Friday morning, with a dozen teams from Hartford and Tolland counties qualifying for postseason play.

First-round action commences Wednesday at 6 p.m. The finals are slated for June 9 at a site to be determined.

• No. 15 Amity Regional at No. 2 Glastonbury
• No. 13 Hall at No. 4 Ridgefield
• No. 12 Shelton at No. 5 Enfield
• No. 11 Conard at No. 6 Southington
• No. 10 New Britain at No. 7 Westhill

Class M

• No. 15 Rockville at No. 2 Farmington
• No. 13 Wethersfield at No. 4 Xavier
• No. 10 Simsbury at No. 7 South Windsor
• No. 9 Pomperaug at No. 8 Newington
