Burning Ban Lifted In Glastonbury
Glastonbury residents can once again have recreational fires.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury residents can once again have recreational fires.
Here is the official announcement:
Effective immediately, the open flame ban instituted by the Town of Glastonbury is lifted. This is in response to the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s (DEEP) lifting of the statewide burn ban that was established due to extreme dry conditions affecting the State.

Recent precipitation significantly improved conditions and as a result has reduced the fire danger level to LOW/MODERATE conditions statewide, according to DEEP.
