'Family Violence Incident' Leads To 2 Arrests: Glastonbury Police
A Glastonbury man and woman face risk of injury to child charges, and the man was also charged with first-degree threatening, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man and a woman each face several charges after multiple officers responded to an incident at the woman's Glastonbury home, police said.
Glastonbury police described the Feb. 15 incident as both a "reported domestic disturbance" and a "family violence incident," and they said it took place at a residence on the New London Turnpike.
In a report, police said the man, Shaheem Watkins, 26, of Glastonbury "allegedly pointed a firearm at a female victim."

During their investigation, officers found an AR-15-style rifle and a pistol in the residence of Fatima Jones, 31. The firearms were in areas where children could access them, and both were accompanied by high-capacity magazines, police said.
Both Watkins and Jones face charges of risk of injury to child, illegal possession of a large-capacity magazine, and disorderly conduct. Watkins also faces a first-degree threatening charge, while Jones was charged with negligent storage of firearm, police said.

Watkins was held on a $250,000 surety bond and had a Manchester Superior Court date scheduled for Feb. 18 at 9 a.m., while Jones was released on a $50,000 non-surety bond and had a Manchester Superior Court date scheduled for Feb. 16 at 9 a.m.
