• PHOTOS: House fire on Fairview Terrace in Glastonbury (wtnh.com) — A Saturday night house fire on Fairview Terrace drew Glastonbury firefighters and mutual aid from several neighboring towns, complicated by the lack of nearby hydrants. Crews relied on tanker trucks for water, and officials have not yet released information about any injuries or displaced residents. More details are expected as the investigation continues.
   

• Obituary: Peter Arthur Muzeroll (centralmaine.com) — Longtime educator Peter Arthur Muzeroll, who taught mathematics in Glastonbury secondary schools for 18 years, has died at 89. The Marlborough resident also led math programs in Windsor and later taught future teachers at Central Connecticut State University. His family remembers a warm, witty father, musician, and community member; a memorial service will be held at a later date.
