Glastonbury Car Dealership Hosting 'Fill A Truck' Diaper Drive
Through the end of this week, Monaco Ford is collecting diapers that will be donated to families in need through a local nonprofit.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Through the end of this week, Monaco Ford in Glastonbury will be hosting a diaper drive through a local youth-led nonprofit.
Gentle Love Diaper Pantry, a nonprofit started by Manchester High School students in June 2020, is running a "Touching Hearts Campaign," which it said aims to collect funds and diapers for low-income families and families in need.
As part of that campaign, Monaco Ford is hosting its second "Fill a Truck" diaper drive.

The drive began on Feb. 8 and will run through Friday, and community members are encouraged to drop off diapers at the dealership's showroom (767 New London Tpke., Glastonbury) during regular hours of operation.
All sizes of diapers are needed, especially sizes 4, 5, and 6, along with boys' and girls' pull-ups in sizes 2t-5t and baby wipes, officials from Gentle Love Diaper Pantry said in a statement.

Loose diapers can be donated, but they must be contained and their size must be specified.
Community members can also donate on the nonprofit's website here.
Donated diapers are given to the Bridge Food Pantry, the HVCC Food Pantry, the ECHN Family Development Center, the Manchester Public Schools Welcome Center, and the MACC Food Pantry, and officials said since June 2020 over 90,000 diapers have been distributed.
"Monaco Ford and Gentle Love Diaper Pantry hope that this collaboration will spread awareness about diaper needs while collecting diapers that will improve the social and economic wellbeing of families," Gentle Love officials said in a news release.
