Glastonbury To Distribute COVID-19 At-Home Tests To Residents
The distribution has been rescheduled from Thursday to Friday due to shipping delays.

Information via Town of Glastonbury
GLASTONBURY, CT — Late this afternoon, the Governor’s office and state Health Department advised that the COVID-19 test kits have not yet arrived in Connecticut. As of this writing, the delivery date and time remains uncertain, though expected in Connecticut some time tomorrow, Thursday, December 30. Given this delay, the distribution event previously scheduled for Thursday, December 30, at the Glastonbury High School is tentatively rescheduled to 10:00 AM on Friday, December 31 at the same location (Entrance E). Additional information will become available Wednesday night or Thursday morning, and will be posted to the Town website. All cities and towns across the state will be influenced by this shipping delay. Please continue to check this page as we approach the rescheduled event date and time and we apologize for any inconvenience.
As part of a state-wide COVID-19 testing distribution initiative, the Town of Glastonbury will receive over 4,000 at home, rapid COVID-19 testing kits for community members. The Town expects to retrieve the kits from the state’s pick-up center this Thursday and will tentatively host a Glastonbury distribution event this Friday, December 31st. The drive-thru style event will begin at 10:00 AM at the Glastonbury High School and is open to Glastonbury residents only. Kits will be distributed on a first come, first served basis and proof of residency is required (e.g. official identification, piece of mail). Please limit one vehicle per household.

Beginning at 10:00 AM, motorists should access the High School through Entrance E (driveway off of New London Turnpike) and proceed straight ahead. (This is the same entrance used to access the football fields and tennis courts.) Town staff will be stationed on site to direct traffic, therefore please drive slowly through the site. Please display proof of residency on your drivers’ side dashboard. Upon reaching the distribution point, residents will be asked to open their trunk or a rear window, and staff will place the test kits into your vehicle. Each vehicle will receive 2 COVID-19 rapid test kits, each containing 2 tests, or a total of 4 rapid tests. Test kits will be available on a first come, first served basis and while supplies last. After receiving your kits, motorists should exit slowly onto Hubbard Street.
This event is part of a state-wide distribution of COVID-19 testing kits, and is contingent upon the state’s ability to deliver the kits on Thursday, 12/30. The Town will continue to post any applicable updates to the Town website. Please continue to check this page for additional information as the rescheduled event date approaches.
