Glastonbury Resident Named Publisher of Hartford Courant

The appointment of the veteran journalist is part of a series of sweeping changes announced by Tribune Publishing.

A veteran journalist from Glastonbury has been named the new publisher and editor-in-chief of The Hartford Courant.

On Wednesday, Tribune Publishing Chairman Michael Ferro made the announcement that Andrew Julien, 57, would replace Tom Wiley, according to The Courant. Julien has been a reporter and editor at the newspaper for more than 25 years.

The appointment comes as part of sweeping administrative changes at several Tribune-owned newspapers across the country, including the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times, in which the position of publisher and editor-in-chief have been combined.
