Glastonbury Runners Finish Boston Marathon

Fourteen Glastonbury residents were among the nearly 25,000 people who ran the Boston Marathon on Monday.

SIMSBURY, CT — Fourteen Glastonbury runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday.

Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut.

Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the top Connecticut runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41.

The top Glastonbury runner was 34-year-old Philip Mitchell, who finished with an official time of 2:42:13. Mitchell was followed by 52-year-old Suresh Jatti, who finished with an official time of 3:01:03.
