Glastonbury Teen Bowler Heading To National Tournament For 2nd Year
A Glastonbury High School junior, has secured a berth in next summer's 2026 Junior Gold Championships

GLASTONBURY, CT — Brady Reitz, a Glastonbury High School junior, has secured a berth in next summer's 2026 Junior Gold Championships, the nation's top youth bowling tournament.
This is Brady's second year qualifying for the highly competitive scratch tournament. He bowled in the 2025 tournament in July when it was staged in Green Bay, Wisc., and finished in the top two-thirds of the U18 age category.
Youth bowlers compete in local tournaments for a limited number of spots each year in Junior Gold. It runs over nine days and includes qualifying rounds, advancer rounds, match play, and nationally televised finals.

Brady qualified for next summer's 2026 tournament in Minneapolis through his performance at the Sept. 14 Connecticut River Travel Tournament.
Brady is captain of the Glastonbury High School Bowling Team, and is a member of the Connecticut ICS Youth Bowling League at Hall of Fame Silver Lanes in East Hartford. He also was the 2024 handicap singles champion in the Connecticut State USBC Youth Championships in his division, and won first place in the all-events/male category of the 2024 Greater Central Connecticut Youth Tournament.
