Glastonbury Will Distribute COVID-19 Test Kits, Masks Saturday
Tests are first-come, first-served and are intended for people who are in immediate need and have been unable to find one elsewhere.

GLASTONBURY, CT — The town of Glastonbury will give out COVID-19 at-home test kits and N95 masks beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The drive-thru style event will take place at Smith Middle School (216 Addison Road), rain/snow or shine. Each attendee will receive two tests and a small supply of N95 masks, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Town officials said the event is aimed at people who are in immediate need of a test and have been unable to find one elsewhere.

"Residents who received a test kit at the last distribution event held on January 4th are asked to refrain from attending this event to help support test kit distribution to as many community members as possible," officials wrote in a news release.
Motorists are asked to begin lining up at 8:30 a.m. or later to help traffic flow, and town staff will direct traffic.

Attendees should display proof of residency on their driver's side dashboard and pop their trunk, so a staff member can place the materials inside of it. They will then be directed to leave.
"The Town reserves the right to modify the distribution plan as necessitated by heavy traffic volume or other public safety concerns," officials said.
Residents should access the site using Hebron Avenue to Western Boulevard to Eastern Boulevard, then proceed into the school's parking lot. Access from Addison Road will not be granted, and pedestrian access is not allowed.
The town will be closing Addison, Mill, Norman and Addison Pond Roads during the distribution, but local traffic can enter/exit as needed. Additionally, anyone who wants to use the Addison Bog Path must access it from Bell Street.
This is the second town-hosted community distribution event, and future distribution events will take place if the town receives more testing kits and masks, officials said.
