Glastonbury Zip Code Among Priciest In CT: Study

GLASTONBURY, CT — A study listing the Connecticut zip codes with the most expensive homes has found that a Glastonbury zip code is among the state's 50 priciest.

Zip code 06073 is the state's 45th most expensive, according to the report, which was produced by data journalism website Stacker. The zip code is in South Glastonbury and borders Portland, East Hampton and Marlborough, according to United States Zip Codes.org.

Stacker found that the typical home value in 06073 is $425,025, which is 44.5 percent above the statewide typical home value. Home values increased by 11.4 percent from 2017-21 in 06073, Stacker said, and rent increased by 8.7 percent from 2020-21.

The 06073 zip code is the only one in Glastonbury to make the top 50 list. The top three and No. 5 are all in Greenwich, while No. 4 is in Darien.

To compile the list, Stacker used home values index data from real estate website Zillow. The data is from February 2021, Stacker said.
