Glastonbury's Paluska Shines At Class LL Swim Meet, Team Makes Podium

GLASTONBURY, CT — The Glastonbury High School girls swimming and diving team placed third and senior Annika Paluska finished on the podium in two events Tuesday at the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Class LL championships at Wesleyan University.

Glastonbury amassed 434 points as a team. Greenwich High School won its 30th class title with 925 and Ridgefield was second with 831.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Paluska took second with a time of 1:03.94. Jocelyn Niemczyk of the Manchester Co-op won the event in 1:03.62.

Paluska placed third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.62 seconds. Riley Anderson of the Manchester Co-op won the 50 free in 22.81 and Lily Archibald of Ridgefield was second in 23.51.
