Glastonbury's, UNC's Forrest Named To Watch List For Top Lax Award
North Carolina defender and Glastonbury native Sam Forrest has been named to the 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
CHAPEL HILL, NC — Glastonbury's Sam Forrest, a defender at the University of North Carolina, has been named to the 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
The announcement was made Thursday.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.

Forrest, a defender, has played a key role in the Tar Heels limiting opponents to just 4.5 goals per game and not allowing double-digit goals this season. She leads the team with 10 ground balls and ranks second with seven caused turnovers through six games.
The redshirt junior scored her first career goal at Liberty on Feb. 9.
