The community is rallying to aid the family of Laura Hart, who died July 13 at the age of 34.

GLASTONBURY, CT — On Tuesday, Glastonbury teacher Laura Kirsche Hart died unexpectedly at the age of 34. She left behind a husband and three children, and in her memory, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to aid her family.

As of Monday morning, the effort had generated more than $152,000 toward a goal of $175,000.

"To say Laura was an angel would be an understatement," wrote the page's organizers, the Laabs and Bangs families, adding that Hart had already beaten cancer when she died. "Having Laura in our lives was a true blessing that will surround us with love forever."
