Man Brought From Michigan To Glastonbury To Face Sex Assault Charge

Glastonbury police said they have charged a man who had been living in Michigan with sexual assault.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man living in Michigan has been brought back to Connecticut to face a first-degree sexual assault charge in Glastonbury, police said.

According to an arrest report, on Nov. 14, Omar Alamer, 35, was taken into custody by Dearborn Heights (MI) Police Department via a warrant.

Alamer waived extradition in Michigan and, on Friday, was brought to Glastonburty to face first-degree sexual assault and second-degree unlawful restraint charges, according to an arrest report.

Alamer was held over the weekend on a $300,000 bond and was to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Monday, police said.
